- Resum
- Between 1297 and 1299, Ramon Llull went to Paris for the second time in his life. In his Vita Coaetanea, he complained that his stay in the French capital was unsuccessful, but he produced many books that testify to his new meditations about his Ars. In the year 1299 Llull wrote many works, including the Liber de geometria noua et compendiosa, whose content and method of explanation are linked with those of the De quadratura et triangulatura circuli siue de principiis theologiae, which was written in the same year. This study aims to present and to analyse the content of the Liber de geometria noua et compendiosa on the basis of the new finding, that surfaced during the process of editing Lull's works. Unedited pieces of text are the first result in the process of a new edition of the book, which contains not only geometrical but also considerations in the field of cosmology and natural philosophy.
