- Resum
- Presenta els fragments de llibres hebreus conservats a Girona, procedents de relligadures. Entre els fragments, hi ha diversos textos mèdics. -- "In addition to Rabbinic Literature, the Girona fragments also include significant representation of Medical and Scientific Literature written in Hebrew script. The fragments in the Municipal Archive have been analyzed by Christa Calas Stenzel. The Girona medical fragments are very important as they appear to include many compositions which are not known to us from other sources. I include here text from an unidentified Hebrew fragment, graciously transcribed by Hagar Kahana-Smilansky: [...] Of note, the fragment lists other recommended medical works and includes the opening of “The Sixth Gate”, which describes operations on limbs or organs and benefits resulting from them. No work with such a “Sixth Gate” is currently known of so these fragments represent our sole remnant".
