- Resum
- In the course of the last few years, the Institute of Microfilmed Hebrew Manuscripts has been involved in one of the most ambitious projects it has ever undertaken, namely the filming of thousands of manuscripts and fragments of manuscripts that are part of the collections of two libraries in St. Petersburg, Russia: the library of the St. Petersburg Branch of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian National Library (formerly known as the Saltykov-Shchedrin Library). The filming is nearly complete; and the task of cataloguing is well under way. These two collections contain many dozens of medical manuscripts. In this paper I shall present a preliminary description of a few of the more interesting items that I have found among these materials.
